A thin coat of PVC is extruded onto a fabric polyester weave base cloth. This material is very strong and is waterproof at the same time. It is usually used on umbrellas, covered walkways, smaller pavilions, carports and awnings.
The support system (i.e. poles, footings etc.) are of a stronger construction as compared with shade cloth systems. This is due to the fact that no wind build-up can escape from the non-porous membrane, whereas with shade cloth, up to 70% of wind forces can dissipate through the cloth.
Any colour of the rainbow is available.
